Going Down

Boston Screen Partners is pleased to announce the DVD rental release of its first teen comedy movie "Going Down". This movie is now on the video shelves since August 30, 2005 and can be found in all Hollywood Video shops throughout the country. You can also find the film for sale on Amazon.com and in your local Tower Record stores. We expect the film to be at Blockbuster in the fourth quarter this year and then in all mass retailers like Walmart, Target, BJs and others.

You can view the catalogue listing for "Going Down" click here.

You can pre-purchase the video here ...

Investors will be able to access the statistical information for the video sales on the Boston Screen Partners' home page by clicking the Private Investors box under the "Going Down "marquee and entering the appropriate password and ID.

Ardustry Home Entertainment was recently acquired by Jeff Sagansky (former CEO of Paxson Communications and previous top exec at Sony Pictures Entertainment ) and Kerry McCluggage (former long time chair of Paramount TV who now runs his own production company Craftsman Films. Initial projections based on other movies of the same type suggest that gross revenue from just rental licensing will be between 2.6 to 4.8 times the cost of the film. After the video rentals have run their course, the film will be sold to specialty stores like Best Buy, Circuit City, Virgin and Tower Records etc. and then to the mass-retailers like Wal-Mart, Costco, BJs, Target and others.

Not only is this great news for our investors and for us, having brought our first movie investment to higher-then-imagined fruition, but it is creating a considerable amount of buzz for Boston Screen Partners and its producing partners.

Brothers, Bruins and Barstools

Ghetto Memories

Boston Screen Partners is happy to announce the introduction of its newest project “Ghetto Memories”. Based on the books by the same title, this 20th century documentary will chronicle the Jewish experience in the Boston communities of Roxbury, Dorchester and Mattapan.

Those who hale from this community often find it difficult to explain, to their children, what life was like back then. This video will make those explanations possible and more realistic while giving following generations a better understanding of their heritage.

In this ninety minute documentary, "Ghetto Memories", tells a story--a story that highlights social, political, religious and economic life of the era through personal interviews, photos and period footage. This community was not only an important element of city life, but also gave rise to some of the most renown entrepreneurs of our time; recognizable names that are frequently in today’s news.
Revisit some of the mainstays of the community like "The G&G: Where Ike, JFK and FDR Spoke", “Simcos by the bridge”, “The Franklin Park Wall” “The Morton and Oriental Theaters, Blackie’s Deli, Franklin Park Zoo, and more.

The “Ghetto Memories” project has already gained wide recognition and has been published in numerous media outlets like July 23, 2004 –“The Jewish Advocate”, -- December 14, 2003 – “The Palm Beach Post” -- March 2004 – “Northeastern University Magazine”-- November 6, 2003 – “Canton Journal on Townonline.com” -- November 18, 2003 – “Jewish Journal”.
